Community Guidelines
KENGOT works best when everyone trades honestly and treats others with respect. These community guidelines apply to every ad, message, and comment on the site.
1. Be honest
Describe your item accurately, use your own photos, and state the true price and condition. Do not copy other sellers’ ads or photos, and do not post fake ads.
2. Be respectful
Communicate politely. Abuse, threats, harassment, hate speech, and discrimination have no place on KENGOT and may lead to account suspension.
3. Follow the rules
Follow the Terms and Conditions, the Prohibited Items Policy, and Kenyan law. Post each item in the correct category and county, and do not post duplicate ads for the same item.
4. Trade safely
Meet in safe public places, inspect items before paying, and never pay in advance. Read our Safety Tips, Buying Tips, and Selling Tips before your first trade.
5. Help keep KENGOT clean
Report ads that break these guidelines using the Report an Ad option, and keep your own ads up to date — mark items as sold and remove ads that are no longer available.
Accounts that repeatedly break these guidelines may have ads removed or accounts suspended. Thank you for helping make KENGOT Kenya’s trusted marketplace.
